I grew up in Kabba, Kogi State, Nigeria — and from an early age, something in me hungered for more. Not just more knowledge, but more understanding. More depth. More meaning.
In 2005, I joined the Winners Satellite Fellowship — the house fellowship of Living Faith Church — and it was there that my journey truly began. My cell leader, Pastor Oluseyi Solomon, saw something in me before I fully saw it in myself. He encouraged me to attend the Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI), and I obeyed.
One day in a WOFBI class, everything changed. The course was “Dynamics of Potential.” The lecturer spoke about an excellent spirit and quoted Daniel 9:2 — “I Daniel understood by books.” It hit me like a thunderbolt. Here was a man of extraordinary excellence — and his secret was books. That moment became my defining discovery.
The following year, in 2007, I wrote in my diary: “I will read books as if my life depends on books.” Today, it is clear that my life does.
From that moment, reading led to teaching. Teaching led to speaking. Speaking led to leading. I began teaching and speaking at the WSF Operators Meeting in Ota and the Center for Creative Youth International — and I have never stopped since.
Over the years, I have served in various Christian ministries and groups, mentored youths and students, facilitated seminars, and grown into the role of leadership coach — not by title, but by calling. People began to recognize something in me, and their encouragement became my commission.
Today I work alongside Pastor Oluseyi Solomon at the Bible and Literature Ministry (BALM) — a full circle moment that reminds me that the seeds planted by one faithful leader can grow into a forest.
Reading “Trillion Dollar Coach” expanded my horizon and stirred a new ambition in me — to be for others what Bill Campbell was for the giants of Silicon Valley. A coach who builds people, not just results.
Self-improvement drives me every single day. At one point I wanted to be known as “Mr. Self-Improvement.” That hunger has never left me — it has only grown deeper and wider.
This is the story behind Learn, Lead, Rise. I learned. I led. Now I am rising — and I am committed to taking as many people as possible with me.
